Nettex is expanding its popular Promark Spray range with the launch of a new pink spray this October, with a donation from every can sold being made to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
The launch coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (1-31st October) and builds on the support for the charity from Nettex’s sister company, Rumenco, which has previously raised significant funds for the Pink Ribbon Foundation through its special-edition pink Lifeline Lamb & Ewe buckets.
The vibrant new pink shade has been developed to stand out clearly across all fleece colours and types, following repeated requests from farmers, explains Nettex Livestock Specialist, Nia Williams.
“Pink was a colour continually requested by our customers, so we have worked hard to bring it to market while ensuring it meets the same high standards as our other popular Promark Spray colours,” she says.
British Wool approved, the Promark Spray range is available in eight bright, highly visible colours and is formulated to provide long-lasting, waterproof marking that is fully scourable. Its fine nozzle allows for precise, easy application, while the formulation dries rapidly and is suitable for use on both wet and dry fleeces.
Mrs Williams adds: “Unlike many marking sprays, its formulation and nozzle allow the spray to be used at any angle, including upside down. That makes it particularly handy when marking lambs.”
“The formulation dries rapidly, works effectively on both wet and dry fleeces, and is guaranteed not to clog, making it a practical choice for farmers.”
Beyond its practical use on farm, the new pink Promark Spray is helping to put breast cancer awareness firmly in the spotlight. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant-making trust that provides financial support to UK charities working with people affected by breast cancer, as well as supporting initiatives aimed at improving understanding, early detection and treatment.
Farmers are encouraged to share photographs of their ewes and lambs using the new pink spray on social media during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, helping to raise awareness of the campaign and the Pink Ribbon Foundation, while tagging Nettex in their posts.
